Tephrocactus articulatus v. papyracanthus

 

Tephrocactus are a rare and unsual plant that offers a different shape to most cacti. Often slower growing, these treasures are sought after in the cactus comunity. When propagaing it can be slow and difficult to root but very rewarding once happy in a new pot. Larger specimines flower in summer, often with a light pink or white colour and a bright yellow stigma. This particualr Tephrocactus has paper like spines, making it an interesting and unique plant.
