Step 1 - Get in contact
Send us an email (contact@curiouscacti.co.uk) with as many pictures and details of your cactus as you can. Let us know if you have a price in mind in the email too, including roughly where you are in the country.
Step 2 - Evaluation
We will respond to your email within 24 hours with an evaluation and whether your plant will go into our private collection or be sold on.
Step 3 - Collection or postage
Depending on our distance to you, we will either come and collect your plant or guide you through the process of packing and posing your plant. All postage costs will be covered by Curious Cacti and payment will be made once the plant has arrived in our care.
The majority of our plants are home grown here within the United Kingdom, with the exception of some being outsourced from Spanish and Dutch nurseries. The cacti that we source from some very special growers in England have raised all their plants from seed and even remember planting them up to over 50 years ago! We take great pride in being able to continue the growing and care of these plants in our greenhouses at Curious Cacti HQ alongside our very own seedlings and mother plants.
If in a heated indoor environment, water every 2 weeks in spring and summer. Then in winter every 4 weeks.
If in a greenhouse, water every 2 weeks in spring and summer.
When we mention that our plants are shipped bare root, this means that the plant is taken out of the pot and soil. This leaves only the roots of the plant showing. We will then package the plant carefully to ensure no damage to the plant or root system. When you receive your plant, you can pot the plant up in soil and a pot of your own.
Yes! We love to bring more love to any cacti and succulent collection which can either no longer be cared for or housed anymore. Unfortunately due to the small size of our business, our greenhouses may not have the capacity for some or all collections. We ask that when you contact us either direct through email or through our contact page on our website, that you attach a picture of the plants that need to be rehoused so we can assess their sizes and condition. We can mostly identify all cacti and succulents but additional information such as their genus and species would be greatly appreciated if possible, but if not don't worry! And although we are based in Hampshire, we love to travel and will happily come to you to collect the specimens from all over the United Kingdom!
Yes we can. Just pop us a message either direct to our email or through our contact page on the website with your questions, and we will try to respond within 24hrs.
We would love to hear from you! Contact us on Contact@curiouscacti.co.uk to enquire about our availability and we will respond as soon as possible.
